Do You Have All the Time in the World?

The world today makes it almost impossible for anyone to do the very things that will make him or her happy. There are those office work that needs to be done right away. There is that family dinner that needs to be attended to at eight o’clock in the evening. And how about the going away party that you need to go to as your best friend is already migrating to Canada. Apart from the party, you need to look for a going-away gift. The only things that you can ever think of are travel alarm clocks or world time clocks, this way, your friend will never be late for any appointment wherever she is in the world.
So you ask yourself, do you ever have the time to do what you want to do? Will you ever find the time to finally take that vacation, to shop for your favorite jeans, or even to curl up in your own bed and sleep all day? When will you ever wake up at your most convenient time and not during the early hours of the morning with the help of atomic clocks?
What you actually need is time management. However, experts said that the phrase time management is actually a misnomer since whatever you do, you cannot manage time: that is, the number of hours in a day will always be 24. Whether you are Bill Gates or an ordinary employee of a certain company, you will only have 24 hours a day.
So, experts termed it instead as Self-Management. You can control yo
urself. You can plot your priorities and control the things that matter. You can toss the things that are unnecessary and focus on those that will have a more significant impact on your life.
So the next time that you are confronted with a multitude of tasks, personal or professional, remember Self-Management. You cannot go into saying that the number of hours you have is certainly not enough. If other people were able to manage it, so will you. It is just a matter of knowing what to prioritize.
