Another food shown to boost metabolism is tomatoes. Tomatoes are also shown to have anti-cancer properties, so what better way to lose weight than one that helps protect you from cancers as well.
Water is also key to speeding your metabolism. Drinking ice cold water throughout the day, not just when you begin to thirst, can help speed things up. Plus water helps your body flush out harmful toxins that may be released from your exercise and dieting efforts.
Another way to lose weight from the foods you eat is to eat foods that require more energy to eat and digest then they provide your body.
One example of a snack that does this is good old plain popcorn. It takes more energy for your body to eat and digest the popcorn (without all the butter and salt) then it receives from the popcorn. With a few alterations to our diet and the removal of processed foods, and the addition of negative calorie foods you will be well on your way to losing weight and feeling better about your body and yourself.
