The Southern Appalachia Railway Museum is proud to open it’s traditional fall colors train ride. If you and your family are fond of trains or if you just want to have a good time with the family, visit the museum and you’ll surely enjoy your day.

Charles Poling, volunteer and engineer of the train, said that to signal the opening of the fall colors train ride, he’ll blast the train horns twice as they welcome guests to the museum. Ever since Poling was a kid he loved trains. He said that he always played with trains while he was a little boy and now he’s a big boy playing with big trains.

Poling is one of the engineers that volunteers every weekend. The train has authentic 1900’s parts and  Poling said that all of which are special to East Tennessee.
