This eliminates a lot of the risk of splitting the edge of the nail.

The good news is they are not only confined to bigger animals as they come in various sizes and you’ll find there will be pliers to fit most animal sizes.

- Scissor Pet Nail Clippers…are probably the favorite style of pet owners because of their ease of use. They work pretty much like a pair of scissors and are easy to handle. However, they don’t really suit large breeds of pets and are best used on smaller animals.

One thing to keep in mind with most pet nail clippers is their maintenance. Keeping the cutting edge sharp is vital and this information is readily available for the place of purchase. Keeping an edge sharp is not difficult. Trying to cut nails with a dull edge, particularly large nails is asking for trouble.
