Decorating your home can allow you to choose all the colors and fabrics that are brought in to fit exactly what kind of home you want to have. Whether you want something elegant or a place filled with trendy fashions you get to make all the choices. This can be a very exciting time for those who enjoy shopping for unique furniture or art.
If you have purchased an older home then you will probably have plenty of closet space. This closet space will come in handy when you entertain because you will need some where to place coats or belongings of your guests. For those of use who do not have coat closets a great choice is to purchase a wall mounted coat rack. This not only serves the purpose of holding your coats but can also add something nice to the entry way. Wall mounted coat hooks are directly placed on the wall. They can be made of wood or wrought iron. These can have designs made into them so that they can feel more like a piece of art then something for like a coat.
When decorating an entry way you will want something that makes your house feel more like a home. Some people like to place an ivy plant or very colorful flower arrangements on a tall table. Small trees in planters are also a good choice. Many people will put some sort of bench that allows for storage underneath. These benches can allow room to place shoes, backpacks, and purses. These will help keep clutter down from everyday life. Some benches already have the coat hooks on the top of the back of the bench.
Some homes do not have an actual entry way and you enter the home directly into the living room. A wall mounted coat rack will fit nicely behind the door. This will definitely help with all the coats that pile up especially during the winter time. This would also help keep things off the floor since there is not much space for walking. Placing a small plant on top of a small entry table would help separate the living room from the entry way. Though there is not much you can do with such a small space that will not take way from the other room it may help a little to form a small separation.
